As pointed out by fossfreedom in the comment, the issue seems to be in the device for sound output. With lots of hope I selected Internal Audio Analog Stereo as the device, but still no sound at all is coming out of the system: Sign up or log in Sign up using Google. Ok, i have to clarify this.
It’s usually much more of a win than dual-booting. There is no need to edit alsa-base, too. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag ‘kernel- fixed-upstream’.
